Inspiration comes from the most bizarre places...Facebook.

Well, I'm giving this whole blog thing another go. But this time, I'm not going to talk about me and my boring life, where the same old stuff happens to the same old people. No, this isn't about me at all, I hope. This is about what inspires people. Tonight, I was on Facebook and I saw a picture of someone I knew from high school. He looks quite different, so the picture caught my attention, in that respect, by itself. However, upon clicking on it, I got this sudden feeling inside me that said "This is a really cool picture, and it gives me hope." Sounds cheesy, and I hate being "cheesy," but isn't life just a big cheese ball anyway? I think of art and music, two things that inspire me more than anything, and really it's all so cheesy. But it's delightful. It's all so wonderful: things that make you smile; things that inspire you; things that make you live day to day knowing you're living for something worthwhile. It's a fascinating concept. Something that inspires a person may be completely meaningless to another, even if the two are very close to each other. The world is so cynical, and I am not excluding myself in any way, shape, or form. But things that make you smile, make your brain rattle, or just get you to think are worth the meaningless jargon the world throws at us.

So there is the back story to this blog. My purpose is to kind of have a photo/thought of the day. Probably won't happen everyday, but I'm sure no one is really upset about that. It will be fun to focus on something and get the creative juices in my head flowing.

So without further ado, the photo that started it all:
